Although the prices continue to go down, you can actually save quite a lot of money by buying a mobile phone which is enabled for regular wireless Internet access. As you can probably imagine, this does afford quite a few great advantages.
However, the advantages afforded by Wi-Fi mobile phones are simply enormous. Though they are quite expensive to buy, the prices will continue to drop as all new technology does. If you have such a mobile phone, you can expect to access the Internet anywhere where you would use a laptop to access the Internet.
This gives you the advantage of being able to browse the Internet just like you would on any regular computer. However, even more impressively, such phones also come with VoIP software which enables you to send and receive calls from all over the world without having to pay per minute unless you are calling somebody on a conventional phone.
This gives you the advantage of being able to use programs such as Skype to send and receive calls and even video calls and messages over the Internet. Depending on your subscription service, the costs are dramatically lower than any of the alternatives, speed is higher typically and sometimes the services are free.
Indeed, you’re probably familiar with the wireless Internet hotspots that you find all over the place in many cities these days. Many of these are free, such as if you go to a cafe which has a wireless hot spot, where you will be able to log into the Internet with your mobile phone and browse the Internet and use all the other features for free.
Although stated before, the technology remains to be quite expensive, the mountain money that you can save in the longer term can be enormous depending on how you use the Internet. Imagine having a device in your pocket which is the size of any conventional mobile phone but being able to use it with much the same functionality is a regular laptop computer. Of course, the screen is smaller but then it is also fairly portable and pocket sized.

For example, if you have trouble writing messages and web addresses in your mobile phone using a stylus, many products give you the option of being able to use and external keyboard. These keyboards are typically small and compact and can even fold up into a very small space making and completely portable.
